The Tea Party in the Woods

by Akiko Miyakoshi

Kikko sets out after her father with a forgotten pie for Grandma. When she arrives at a strange house in the wintry woods, a peek in the window reveals that the footprints Kikko had been following did not belong to her father at all, but to a bear in a long coat and hat! Alice in Wonderland meets Little Red Riding Hood in this charmed tale.

Magical picture book that draws the readers and listeners in. The illustrations alone are breathtaking and make the book so beautiful. The whole story is full of whimsy and the cutest woodland animals. The Tea Party in the Woods is a  cross of Little Red Riding Hood meets Alice in Wonderland, combining those 2 stories created such a great book. Akiko Miyakoshi is an amazing illustrator and wonderful storyteller. She is the whole picture book package and I can’t wait to see if she has created more masterpieces.

thank you netgalley and Kids Can Press for allowing me to review this wonderful picture book. All opinions are my own and were not influenced by the free book.
