Voyagers is a 6 book series that promises to finish with in a year, so no waiting for years to get the whole series read. That can be so frustrating for adults so just imagine how kids feel. Voyagers Project Alpha is a non stop action packed introduction to the series and it hooks you be the end of chapter 1. My 4th grader loved every minute of the book and is already counting down the days to book 2 Voyagers Game of Flames to come out (which is November 2nd by the way!). This series is a mixture of science fiction with a bit of mystery all focused around an environmental theme. The characters are well-developed and the story line is fast paced and well written. Now to make the series even better for kids it is interactive. Voyagers has a website where the readers can join the team and complete all kinds of puzzles, assignments and unlock features as they read the books. Like many series now each book will be written by a new author so not only is each a bit different but it also introduces the readers to new authors that maybe they haven’t read before. I think this is a wonderful series that appeals to both boys and girls from elementary through middle school. I know I enjoyed it just as much as my 4th grader. Grab a copy of Voyagers Project Alpha for the little bookworm in your life and introduce them to a new exciting series.

The Voyagers HQ is fun and even has an app that can be downloaded onto your devices. Even better it is available for both Apple and Android, so grab it for free at the Apple store or through Google Play.

summary: Earth is about to go dark. Without a new power source, life as we know it will be toast. A global competition is under way to determine who will join the secret mission that might just save us all. Project Alpha is a contest of physical challenges, mental puzzles, and political alliances. The battle is fierce, and only four kids will make the cut. The Voyagers will journey to the far reaches of space, collecting unique elements and facing unbelievable dangers. The future of our planet is in the hands of four kids. Sure, they’ll be the best in the world . . . but can they save the world?
